Here is how to properly care for your fresh flowers and give them the longest/happiest vase life possible.
1. Change the water every couple of days and pull out any sad appearing blooms as they fade.
2. Add flower food to the initial vase water, if you have regular Sprite/7Up available you can add a couple tablespoons to your vase as a source of food for them.
3. Do not keep your flowers near ripening fruit
4. Try not to allow your flowers to be in the hot sun or direct sunlight for a prolonged period of time. UV rays can stress the plant especially after it has been cut. Inside of your home in the cool air conditioning is best.
